A discussion round with sex educator Habeeb Akande and Dr Sarah Younan on kunyaza - an ancient practice triggering female ejaculation/gushing, and traditional African sex education centering female pleasure.
Hosted by Watch Africa Cymru in Cardiff, Wales, the workshop took place on 12 August 2019, few days after International Female Orgasm Day (8 August). The workshop was followed by the film screening of 'Sacred Water,' a documentary exploring kunyaza in Rwanda.
Using the wondrous vulva puppet and a 3-D clitoris model, Akande demonstrates how to locate the G-Spot and K-Spot (internal and external clitoris) to induce squirting orgasms.
According to Akande, kunyaza can help close the orgasm gap between heterosexual couples.
According to a 2016 study from the Archives of Sexual Behavior that looked at over 52,500 adults in the U.S. — including those who are lesbian, gay, and bisexual — 95 percent of heterosexual men reported they usually or always orgasmed during sex, compared to 65 percent of heterosexual women, who were the least likely.
Habeeb Akande is a sex educator and author of Kunyaza: The Secret to Female Pleasure.
